Painting a custom portrait on Canson fine art paper.
In this video I share how I painted a custom pet portrait of a cat sleeping on a pillow. I am using Canson fine art paper and watercolor in both tubes and pans.
I painted this portrait as a gift from one of the sons in the family to their mother. He wrote back to me that he was very happy with the result and couldn’t´t wait to give it to his mom. That´s something I really like to hear!
Speeded up video into a time lapse of when I painted this wave and surfer boy. If you would like to see more of my surfart checkout my instagram @coraillustration. Waves, wind and surfing always gets me inspired!
I painted this cute dog this weekend in watercolor. I decided to remove most of the background and kept just some shadow.
Surfer in watercolor. I became quite satisfied with how the wave turned out and I´ll try to paint some more paintings in a similar style. I have always wanted to be able to paint water and waves beautifully and I feel like I might be on to something. Portrait in watercolor of a baby. I wanted the focus point to be the face so I let the rest of the body stay blurry.
Custom family portrait in watercolour. The small thumbnails show the original photos that I used as a reference when I painted.
